Can I custom make it to my desired size?

The width cannot be extended or shortened by setting one size due to the mechanism of the magnetic axis. The height varies depending on the length of the paper. However, please note that if the paper is too long, the magnetic axis may not be able to support it.

You can specify the size of the main page (photo or image area).

Yes, that is possible. The default size of the paper is 24cm wide and 30cm long, with a ratio of 4:5. The maximum width is 30cm. There is an additional charge for every 1cm increase or decrease in width. There is no maximum length for the length. However, if you wish to extend the paper, an additional charge will be charged for every 10cm. If you wish to shorten the paper, this will be done free of charge.

About the product

Durability

Our hanging scrolls have been confirmed to be able to withstand being taken out several dozen times, but some wear will occur over time. If you require the highest quality materials, durability, and quality, we can introduce you to a specialized mounter. As for deterioration over time, depending on the storage conditions, in theory, it can be preserved for more than 10 years.

What is the best way to store it?

Put it in the box provided and air it out for about two hours about once every six months, then dry it in the shade for about half a day. If you are concerned about insect damage, use a commercially available insect repellent for hanging scrolls. Do not use insect repellents for clothing. If you plan to keep it on display, please keep it in a place that is not exposed to direct sunlight.

What material do you use for your hanging scrolls?

The fabric is made of pure silk, rayon, paper thread, Bemberg, rayon, cotton, aluminum foil, etc. The magnet shaft is made of polyester and plastic.

Please tell me about your consideration for the environment.

The "Scrothing Picture" hanging scrolls are based on natural materials, with Japanese paper, silk, and cotton used for the centerpiece and main page. The scrolls are made of polyester and plastic to ensure both durability and beauty, but we will continue to switch to more sustainable materials and improve our manufacturing processes to provide products that will satisfy our customers.

Can I have multiple designs?

It is possible to create multiple designs using the simulator. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via "Contact Us".

There are some marks on my piece, can they be repaired?

Hanging it on a wall in a low humidity room for half a day to a day will repair the rolled up parts. If this does not fix it, remove the top and bottom shafts, place it on a board that will not damage it, and put a weight on it for about a day. If it does not repair completely, use a hand towel or similar as a pressing cloth and iron the torn parts. Do not use steam when doing this. Also, be careful not to iron the washi paper parts or the cut and seamed parts.

My piece has some creases. Can you fix it?

The main paper part can be ironed to some extent due to the characteristics of Japanese paper, but it may not be completely repaired. The torn fabric part can be repaired with an iron, but there may be cases where the crease remains. As it contains a lot of paper, please handle it with care.

My piece is broken. Can it be repaired?

Although it depends on the part, it is basically the same work as remaking, so please understand that the fee will likely be the same as the production fee. Also, there is a shortage of craftsmen in the current situation surrounding hanging scrolls, so it may not be possible to obtain the same materials. We would appreciate your understanding of this as well.

Is there anything I should be careful of when removing it?

Is there a way to decorate it that you would recommend?

There is something like a golden ratio for hanging scrolls - the size that looks beautiful when you are sitting and looking up - and the ratio of the cloth including the characters above and below can be 2:1 or 3:2 (depending on the size of the seat and the distance), so we recommend placing it a little higher than eye level. However, we would be happy if you are free to look at it and make it easy for you to become familiar with it on a daily basis.

What should I do if my hanging scroll gets dirty?

The appropriate treatment varies depending on the type and degree of dirt. Please contact us first.

Q.How long is the warranty period?

If there is a quality problem with any hanging scroll produced by our company under normal use within one year from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it free of charge.

What should I do if I find that my item is damaged after it arrives?
